Con el objetivo de concientizar y presentar soluciones prácticas a los cambios demográficos, la crisis de credibilidad en el liderato político, económico, administrativo, judicial y religioso, la Red Apostólica Mundial (WANI) realizará la gira “La Iglesia como Agente de Cambio”.
La gira se realizará del 13 al 18 de mayo y contará con la participación de los pastores dominicanos residentes en Estados Unidos: Salvador Sabino, Frank Almonte, Daniel Vargas Mena, Víctor Tiburcio, Carlos Luis Vargas, Alejandro López, Mayra López y Emilio Méndez.
Preguntas como: ¿Cuál es el papel que debe jugar la iglesia ante la violencia? ¿Cuál es el papel que debe jugar la iglesia ante la inseguridad, la corrupción administrativa, la impunidad, la falta de liderazgo, la mundanalidad, la miseria y el pecado en general? Serán respondidas por los ministros que participarán en la gira.
Una nota de prensa señala que la iglesia de Cristo ante el estado de crisis pueden seguir los caminos de resistir los cambios sociales "y correr el riesgo de que naufrague la embarcación", seguir la corriente de los cambios "la cual provoca que aumente la velocidad" o provocar otros cambios en el estado de cosas actual.
La actividad se llevará a cabo el lunes 13 en San Pedro de Macorís en el Complejo deportivo José A. Kunjar, el 14 de mayo en Higüey en la Iglesia Central de AD, el 15 de mayo en Bávaro.
