Un avión de la empresa Aerodomca que aterrizaba en el aeropuerto de Arroyo Barril, en Samaná, se descarriló de la pista y se detuvo en unos matorrales, resultando varios de los pasajeros heridos.
La aeronave matrícula HI880 regresaba a Las Terrenas de Samaná de una excursión con siete turistas, más el piloto.
De acuerdo los informes, un fuerte viento sacó de la pista a la aeronave perdiendo el piloto el control, e introduciéndose a unos matorrales.
Durante el accidente varios de los ocupantes resultaron heridos y trasladados al hospital público de Samaná y a otros centros privados.
Al producirse el hecho unidades de los bomberos, paramédicos acudieron a sacar a los pasajeros y a llevarlos al hospital.
