Una pareja denunció ayer que un médico del hospital Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia de Higüey se negó a atender a su hija de tres años, la cual tenía una fractura en la pierna izquierda, por ser haitianos.
Yaquelin Castillo y Juan Carlos, profesor de idiomas, se quejan del mal servicio que recibieron en el hospital, tras asegurar que el galeno, al cual no pudieron identificar, les manifestó “que se fueran para Haití, porque él estaba cansado de atender haitianos”.
Manifestaron que un médico al graduarse hace un juramento hipocrático, para ayudar a cualquier persona sin importar la raza o religión.
“El que seamos negros no quiere decir que no tengamos derecho a la salud, por lo que esperamos que el Ministro de Salud Pública abra una investigación sobre este hecho que nos ha sucedido en este centro de salud”, indicaron.
