Por el incidente no se han reportado víctimas, aunque a bordo del vehículo viajaban tres personas, dos agentes de seguridad y el chofer. De dos de ellos no se obtuvo ningún reporte.
Uno de los agentes de seguridad que iba en el camión y que rehusó identificarse dijo desconocer el paradero de sus compañeros. El inciendio inició cerca de las 2:15 de la tarde de hoy.
El hombre no quiso especificar si dentro del camión llevaban dinero o algún envío en específico.
Explicó que mientras el vehículo iba en marcha se percataron de un olor a quemado, por lo que procedieron a detenerse en el lugar. Al observar el camión por la parte baja, vieron que se estaba incendiando
.
“Tratamos de apagarlo echándole agua pero parece que no fue suficiente y el camión se prendió completo”, dijo el seguridad.
Se quejó de que a pesar del llamado a los bomberos, éstos no habían llegado al lugar.
En la autopista tampoco se observan agente de la Autoridad Metropolitana de Transporte (Amet) ni de la Policía Nacional.
