Santo Domingo .- Al menos 24 personas han muerto de manera violenta en los primeros diez días de este mes, con lo que suman ya 335 las muertes en esas circunstancias en lo que va de año.
De esa cantidad, 26 fueron mujeres asesinadas por sus parejas o exparejas, la mayoría con armas de fuego.
Las últimas dos víctimas cayeron ayer abatidas cuando supuestamente enfrentaron a tiros a los integrantes de una patrulla policial que trató de apresarlos, luego de que hirieron y asaltaron a cuatro indocumentados haitianos en la comunidad de Punta Caña, Distrito Municipal Pedro Corto, San Juan de la Maguana.
Otro caso de violencia fue el de un hombre que asesinó a su esposa de múltiples disparos y luego se suicidó de un tiro en la cabeza, en Verón, Higüey.
Las víctimas fueron Juana Pineda y Robelín Matos.
En San Francisco, una estudiante de 18 años y su pareja fueron hallados muertos en su cama.
