BAVARO-PUNTACANA.- Los ministerios de Turismo y Medio Ambiente, la Marina de Guerra y la Policía Turística (Politur), concedieron un plazo hasta el día cinco de marzo a todos los propietarios de embarcaciones para que presenten los documentos y permisos de operación, porque a partir de esa fecha se adoptarán medidas de apresamiento de botes y les impedirán navegar con turistas.
Las autoridades explicaron que una vez vencido el plazo, solamente podrán operar comercialmente las embarcaciones que cuenten con sus permisos y las autorizadas por la Marina de Guerra para fines de pesca personal y navegación de cabotaje o navegación costera alrededor de la isla.
La información se dio a conocer en una reunión sostenida en el puesto de la Marina de Guerra en el Cortesito con los propietarios de embarcaciones del destino turístico Bávaro-Punta Cana, en la que estuvieron presentes representantes de Turismo, Medio Ambiente, la Marina de Guerra y Politur
Se informó que esta disposición forma parte del proyecto de desarrabalización de la costa de Bávaro-Punta Cana que se está implementando de manera conjunta.
Se trata de un plan integral de seguridad marítima y terrestre que incluye un levantamiento de las embarcaciones que operan en el litoral costero que abarca desde Cabeza de Toro hasta Arena Gorda-Bávaro, crear la batimetría de las playas de Bávaro y Cabeza de Toro para ubicar los puntos de fondeadero, área de Bañista, zona de seguridad y canal de navegación.
Esta incluye señalización de áreas de bañistas, zona de peligro y canal de navegación con pilotes y carteles de dichas áreas.
Además, balizamiento del canal de navegación, desarrabalización de las embarcaciones que obstaculizan el paso de los bañistas en la arena, así como desarrabalización de la contaminación visual y medioambiental en el mar.
También hacer cumplir las diferentes leyes y normativas que regulan el sector turismo, para lo cual se contará con patrullas
