El Grupo Puntacana anunció la inauguración de un hotel para octubre próximo y la construcción de otro que empezará a operar para diciembre del 2013.
La información fue ofrecida por el director ejecutivo de Hospitalidad del grupo, Alberto Abreu, y el gerente de Buenos Negocios, Juan Pedro San Martín, durante la celebración del Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) efectuado del 17 al 19 de este mes en Bávaro, Higüey.
Se trata del Four Points by Sheraton, de 125 habitaciones, y el Westin Puntacana Resort, de 204 habitaciones, cuya construcción comenzará próximamente. Estará en la zona de Playa Blanca dentro de Puntacana Resort.
Explicaron que el Four Points by Sheraton representa una oferta nueva para los huéspedes. Fue fruto de un acuerdo de franquicia entre Starwoods Hotel & Resort y el Grupo Puntacana, el cual fue firmado en abril del año pasado.
El hotel, que será inaugurado el próximo 4 de octubre, está ubicado en Puntacana Village, donde existe una amplia área comercial compuesta por restaurantes, variedades de tiendas, supermercados y bancos. No será de la modalidad todo incluido.
Las camas fueron diseñadas para la marca Four Points, su línea de diseño con colores y estilo de decoración característico de todos sus hoteles en el mundo.
En cuanto al Westin Puntacana Resort, Abreu dijo que tendrá cuatro niveles y 16 suites. Se levantará frente a una playa de doscientos metros lineales. Será un hotel cuatro estrellas plus internacional.
