La Policía dijo que el caso se encuentra bajo investigación de oficiales de la Dirección Central de Investigaciones Criminales (DICRIM) y el Ministerio Público de la jurisdicción de San Cristóbal. Informó que en las próximas horas ofrecerá mayores detalles del caso.
El cadáver de Chalas Tejeda fue enviado al Instituto de Patología Forense, para los fines correspondientes.
